After the falls it was time for another hike and a dip in Lake Powell. But gettin there wasn't easy. A short, steep hike to Lake Powell at the end of Hole In The Rock Road, a 55 mile 4WD road which we aired down the tire pressure on Beau's chevy, Bison.This follows the trail of the San Juan Mission of Mormon Settlers in 1879.
While Beau and I hit the water BJ and Tara hit the slot caynons 25 miles away.
getting down is half the battle and folks have been doing it for years. The dates in the sandstone walls shows evidence of those who have come before us.
