Halloween Networking.

Keeping the tradition alive.
 a spooktacular display
 The halloween parade in DBQ
I fish when the weather is nice
but yesterday it was overcast and rainy and the fishing was great.
 As was the companionship.
Networking pays off.  Mart fished on Monday am.  He called Ron who hit the stream midday and called Mart back to tell him that the stocking truck rolled in for a final fall stocking.  Marty called me and said now's the time rain or shine.
By the time we got off the stream we had each netted six trout.

Three More Murals

I drove the Bus up to DBQ Friday afternoon.  Susie and I had plans to meet with Uncle Yummy and his gal pal Jolean, for dinner and drinks.

I drove down the alley just off main st. and took a few pics of Windy's mural
and the mural down at the end of the block.
Then a quick swing by Oddfellows to appreciate the art.

Bob hits the Driftless

After entertaining a variety of invitations from cities and counties around the country, Bobtoberfest has decided to head to Wisconsin.  Where we’ll blend in with simple country folk and spread our big city charm.
 Ready to make friends.
Like this young lad we met in the apple orchard
We did ride. About 20 miles in all
 Hung with the locals
 Bob doing work
 The crew was strong
 and getting stronger
First bridge just to re group.
Are you in?

HOMECOMING 2018

Friday's parade marked the end of the 2018 Homecoming week.  Except for the game.
The team and the cheerleaders road on the firetruck.
Followed by the dance team, the players mothers and
The high school teacher decked out in full fishing gear.  Our theme was fishing for knowledge.  While many of my co workers had books on the end of their fishing lines,  my plan was to match the hatch and bait up with a tootsie roll.  I had many follows and avoided all strikes.

Center Point-Urbana's record went  up to 4-3. Maquoketa is still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-7.
