Planting day

After an ice fishing trip to Jimmie's, I discovered a gift on my floorboard by the heater.
Not wanting to waste a thing, I saved them for fertilizing our tomatoes.
We only got seven plants from Little Bear garden's
Susie does a great job making our garden both bountiful and bountiful
I help too

Now for some rain

THE LAST DAYS OF TOM's-TOWN

After 47 years of rent free living and collecting treasures
Lil and I toured the yard enjoying her plants one more time
Then we went into the living room where the fire started
It was sad to see there home like this
Lil looks out while guys salvage what they can from the out buildings
She still manages to simile
We're moving the old bike shop out of Christian Valley down the road to O's
It takes a village
And a tractor
Break time.  Farewell To Tom's town

Time to move on.

  • Welp,  I left Dubuque at 6:30 am to drive to Perry to get 14 packages of bees.  Just 10 miles away at Madrid Iowa the Baja lost power.  Long story short, my plans changed.
Step one - tow the car to Urbandale.
Two - Uber to Des Moines international air port.
Three - rent a car.
Four - drive back to Perry and get the bees
Five - Drive back to Bellevue and start the chore of bee instillation.

Wednesday Mart and I drove Old Gray to Platteville after school to install two packages of bees

The weather didn't cooperate but by the end of the week I had all the packages installed
The Last one is out Bellevue Cascade road at Hartung family farm
