A STEP BACK IN TIME

An Eagle patroles this streatch of stream, feeding a trout.
I hope he had better luck than I did.
But with the temps pushing the 60* make, who could complain
I didn't think these pictures would turnip but here they are
The old ping pong table in Chappy land hasn't been used in a while

and the collage of holloween pictures has fallen to the floor
Sasquach, the hide and seek champion.

Phytophotodermatitis

While making margaritas in Phoenix, Susie a reaction to the lime juice and exposure to what little sun we had.  So I had to make a run to the store.

Eventhough the weather was not all that nice, 37* and rainy

I managed to catch a trout at my first stop.
By the time I got to the second stream the rain came down even harder
 and fog set in.
Three slips, two lures found along the stream and one trout later, I made back home to doctor the burn.

DECEMBER 21 2019

Just a few days before  Christmas 2019 and the temperatures look to be in the 50*s for days.
So, it's time for an early morning run to to stream.
The lure of choise is this streamer that Dad tied in the 70's.
He would often sit at the kitchen table or back in his bedroom and tie flys, some better than others.
This one looks like a winner.
As you can see it's been a while sense I've had the fly rod out.
In the shade of the hillside it was still pretty frosty but it was nice to have the place all to myself
Dad was a game warden in the Driftless 1946 - 1983 and he taught me to use a flyrod early on, to
pick pockets and fish pools.
The sun warmed my back as things heated up at this pool.
 The shadow knows
The first of two nice bows
