Mid November an temps in the 60's & 70's

After a day of being locked up with kids.
I was happy to spend alittle time along the stream in the fresh air. Even if I only caught a few reek chubs.

Then Susie and I  took advantage of the nice evening to burn a few leaves and clean up the drainage along the lane.

Tonight I hit brush and jumped the fence and caught and released a few as the sun went down.

Back to the ridge and on my way home.

Pizza and Cocktails

The shiitake mushroom log that Susie got me for christmas kicked a few span this past week
So, Susie baked off a few pizza crusts in the afternoon
Keeping it simple with Sue's homemade pizza sauce, pepperoni, cheeze and Shiitakes
Last night she made The Bee's Knees cocktails
With oven dried lemons
Yes, they were as good as they looked.

Friday the 13th North to South

I started friday the 13 by issuing an eviction notice to the residence of this triplex
time to find a new home for these two

I also disassembled this 500 piece puzzle.  Let me know it you're interested
Social distancing among the pine needles
After the work was done.  Then it was time to head down river.

 And up the other side.

BONUS!

It's been a bonus week here in the driftless.  Anytime you can get a couple a red elm trees blocked up....
it's a bonus.  Just like a thursday case of troutburculosis.
and not just one trout but
three beautiful bows out of one pool.

and now on to wrapping up the last of the bee hives for the winter.  I'm alittle worried about this one.  I'll have to give this one some food this winter if I hope to get it to spring.
and another bonus 70* November day on the stream
nothing but little creek chubs on this stretch

Jerry on hay bales and Venus at sunset.
