Celebrating 1918 on the Stream.

The 26th would have been dads 102nd birthday.  So, I hit little mill after school.  With the temps dropping into the 30's I fished for about an hour.

I ended up missing 4 strikes and lost 3 spinners.

still it was a good day fishing but not for catching.

This afternoon was a different story.  I did some rock hopping and caught a nice rainbow.
It was some nice stream time

But from the looks of it I'm not the only one who likes being down along the stream.
Big kitty.

Going North

Today we mised things up a bit.  Usually on a Saturday morning you'll find us traveling down river in the morning.
But today we drove up the the DBQ farmers market to get picknic supplies for our adventure
First stop Richman springs
On this beautiful fall day the park was packed with people taking selfies and enjoying Backbone State Park
Guilty as charged
There were too many people at the devils backbone.  More than I have ever seen.
So we hiiked the lake trail and had a picknick at the beach and worked our way back to Bellevue

Out With The Old and Up With The New

Beau and I started cleaning out the shed and the next thing we knew the shed was down
We filled up the truck with treasures
Like this lamp
Burn it... Every thing but the kitchen sink.
Off to the landfill
Empty and then we hit the stream.
no luck

Wife, Son & Sunflower
The new shed.  Oh the possibilities

WORK AND PLAY

First up.  Get the Subaru back home from Springbrook

then we hit the brook for some fall brown action
It was my day with two
The woods are lovely dark and deep
Wednesday night bike riding, pong, social and grub just up the block before heading back to bellevue to say hi to the boys at the Legion

Burgers to go and a howler for a future beef dish
a visit with Uncle Steve.  Bee fall treatment and trap shooting
We also did a little farm tour
Back home we bucked up a few truck loads of fire wood.
Beau dug up about 50 #lbs of sweet potatos

More stream time.

My catch of the day
Lots a bumps and follows
Beau caught this beauty and missed his big brother
Quality stream time.
