These little ones are fun too.
The garden has gotten out of hand in Dbq.  the hopps are taking over
  check out the tulips.
I spent some time in the timber cutting  wood
 And looking around
I wish they all had knives by them.

Week FIVe - Yard Work and Strream Time

This week I walked Jesse's branch.  Something I"ve wanted to do for 15 years.
I got to fish some new water.
and then some.  I walked three miles of new water.  Only two flashes.  No fish.

I got a truck load of mulch from dbq.

And Susie has been busy mulching. The yard is looking great.
Today I grabbed some watercress and hit Roli.
I think the small ones are tougher to catch because they have smaller mouths.  :)

Week FORE- An Outdoor Adventure

Dam nice to get out and explore
and gather some drift wood
before 8 am it was still cool, below 30 *F  but coffee and fresh donuts in the car always helps.
We can't take everything we wanted home.
We still had some time to kill so it was off to the Maquoketa Caves.
a head of all the crowds, we had the place all to ourselfs

Even though the caves were closed due to bat hibernation and Covid we were able to get out and hike the trails
as we hiked underneath the natural bridge
I pointed out the hanging daggers of death as the early morning sun heated the rocks
and that was all Susie needed to hear.
and we quickly moved on down the valley.
a warm rest by a beautiful patch green moss
Some of the rewards of our labor.
It was a great morning out.

Week Four - What Ya Looking For.

Sorry folks parks closed, no just the shelter house.
Here's the view of the river valley from the point.
 I thought I found a shed.

No morals  but these oysters were just starting to flush.
That kind a looks like a shed too.
Ok I did find one after the squril spent some quality time with it.
Now it's time to climb out of here.
