Tools of the Sugar Bush

Still waiting for the flow and tapping a few more trees before things bust loose.
So, what'll need?  The wood boss and a claen bucket.
My bag roll is getting down there looks like I'll have to place another order for next spring.

But the big change for 2020 is the new plastic spiles and using a electric drill.

Cedar Point

After feeding the cat at Marty's, I went for my annual hike out to cedar point.  A cedar lined ridge runs north of the house as you head back toward the pond.
But the big wildlife sighting was back at our house.
Susie got a shot of  this red tail feeding  right out the frront door
15* and sunny but it was still a pretty cold out.  I wanted to get back to the warmth of the car do I bushwacked my way down to the lane.

Ground Hog Day 02022020

 Yes...He saw his shadow
Susie made pumpkin pancakes this am with some of the last maple syrup from last year.
It was 40 * F today so I hit the stream for an hour.
When I got out of the car I didn't think I would need the net.  So, I played this one for quite a while to tire him out.
I still haven't figured out the best way to take a selfie with a trout.
