Just a few days before Christmas 2019 and the temperatures look to be in the 50*s for days.
So, it's time for an early morning run to to stream.
The lure of choise is this streamer that Dad tied in the 70's.
He would often sit at the kitchen table or back in his bedroom and tie flys, some better than others.
This one looks like a winner.
As you can see it's been a while sense I've had the fly rod out.
In the shade of the hillside it was still pretty frosty but it was nice to have the place all to myself
Dad was a game warden in the Driftless 1946 - 1983 and he taught me to use a flyrod early on, to
pick pockets and fish pools.
The sun warmed my back as things heated up at this pool.
