Another Codfish show with the crew!
We're not homesteders as such, but we do live a simple life that is in touch with the cycle of work and rest is evident throughout nature. Our approach to living, based largely on the reduction of wants and a mostly non-monetary return from our organic horticulture, bee keeping and other sorts of labor. Were living the good life along the Mississippi river valley in north eastern Iowa.

Work and Play
Susie has been taking advantage of the beautiful weather to work on her sculpture in the lavender garden
Taking breaks to play with her helper
We take a break to check out the new mural and garden up in Dubuque
And visit the goats at Cox Spring farm
I've been out working hives in the area
and I spotted the areas newest attraction, the run away Emu
The product of my labor. It's been the most productive year ever for Bees and honey production
This might have something to do with having the time to "properly" manage them.
Marty and I have had a few adventures as well
Biking back into flat lake on the pleasant creek trail
And we floated the Maquoketa river from Supples Bridge down to Canton
