Over the winter I built these split cedar log walls for the polebarn
in order prepare for the chinking I put some hardware cloth in the larger cracks
The goal is to have a mixture that allows the wood to breath
my recipe uses 1.5 parts portland cement
2 parts river coarse sand
1.5 clay and 1 part wood ash.
