Sunday Chores

We got a few more inches of snow last night.  So, Jace chained up the truck last night.

After we got the lane cleared and the cats fed we hoofed it up the the cabin

 I gave Mart a couple pair of snow shoes years ago.

They're not just wall hangers.

I did a quick lap along the ridge where the deer had been bedding down, in hopes that I'd find an early shed antler.

Tomorrow is the first of February and now that the bucks are startin to drop a few sheds

 I'll start racking up a few miles each time I get out either looking for sheds or getting the sugar bush ready for the February thaw

Oh by the way....No sheds.

JANUARY ODDS AND ENDS

Cold temps but ya got to keep moving

Hive inspection with dead bees on the snow....  some ones beeing active and cleaning house

Santa's coming down and hives are getting cleaned up.

Susie and I are using our new shower setup down in the basement

I drove to maquoketa only to find out that they cancled the friday in person and they told us to go remote

so I did .  It was nice being able to hit the stream fairly early

After I realized the spinner I was using didn't have a hook, my luck changed along with my lure.

And everyone was itching to get out and go for a hike
