Four Weeks - Day 3

 Rainy day

 I caught this 20" stick

Fish in hand.

I caught a nice brown and missed a larger one. 

Not too bad! and it's back in the stream.

Four Weeks Day 2

Day 2 more yard work and home projects.

  took a fence down and put another one up.

Four Weeks... Day One!

 Happy St. Pat!  This is the start of four weeks of self Quarantine for the coronavirus.

 at school they told me to pack as if it were the end of the school year.  So, I brought home all of my plants.

 Day 1  I took the hounds for a walk to look for sheds

 We followed lots of deer trails and then we went to the sugar bush and fired up one last batch of syrup.

 Susie and I made great progress down below.  Cleaning up and burning brush.

 Wow look at this the rasbarry bed is done.

Let it rain and it will.

Part of maintaining as social distance is being social.

A visit with the neighbors

The stuff I find in my pockets at the end of the day,

9:00 pm

Late night run to the sugar bush for the last batch of the year.

and home to relax.  A toast to Joyce!

No School today post Parent/Teacher conferences, pre-covid19

So Susie decided to look for sheds and take our pups out for a hike.

 I got on a fresh hair and blood trail and followed it down into the valley

 And this is what I found my guess is it was the blind yearling that we've seen

 and this might be one of the culprits

 but this is what we were looking for

 we did gather up a cow skull from the bone yard down below the old farm in the bottom

And just when we've given up all hope we found this little fork... those big ones still have to be out there. 

oh well, I hit the stream with the big O.   Not a bad friday.

Just a Little Run.

 I had a little visitor down in the sugar bush

 A little red solo cup

 A litttle exploring

 A little time in the sugar shack

And Susie bottled up a sweet little batch of maple syrup.

Walk the Walk.

 I've been getting my steps in the last few days.  Avgering about 4 miles a day.

 And the dogs love it.

 But you know what they say... All work and no play.  So, we played up in DBQ along with Steve, Bob and Alana and the Boys.

 And then back at it again today with two more major hikes

 And finally Beau found his first shed.
